Shop Assembly - Portland Oregon

Purpose 

To define the roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations for the General Laborer / Assembly role at SKY-CDS. 

Scope 

This document applies to the General Laborer / Assembly team member responsible for supporting production and assembly processes, staging materials, and ensuring product readiness for shipment. 

Summary of Position Focus 

The General Laborer / Assembly worker is responsible for setting daily workflow, ensuring decor is assembled and staged correctly, supporting wood shop and CNC cleanup, and performing hardware checks and reporting needs. 

Responsibilities 

• Set assembly workflow in accordance with Production Manager’s schedule 

• Perform quality checks on all assembled décor 

• Stage project finish carts and keep organized 

• Stage finished décor and hardware for shipping on project carts 

• Assist with cutting wood shop parts 

• Assist with parts cleanup from Router 

• Perform daily checks of hardware and report needs to Production Manager 

• 
  

Weekly Scorecard Metrics 

• Assembly workflow aligned with production schedule 

• Quality checks completed on assembled décor 

• Finish carts staged and organized properly 

• Décor and hardware staged for shipping 

• Assistance provided with wood shop cutting 

• Router area cleanup supported 

• Daily hardware checks completed and needs reported
